One-On-One Coaching

Being in product can be a weird combination of working with everyone while feeling isolated -- especially if you're catalyzing change.

To help with this, a coach can work with you as an objective partner. Someone who's been there before and can provide insight, feedback, or advice and help you plan out next steps and find a good path forward.

A product person + change agent

You are in a product role AND are trying to improve the product practices at your company.

You may be a Product Leader or Product Manager, or possibly in Product Ops, a Product Designer, or Product Developer.

You appreciate some help to navigate the complexities of the organizational change you'd like to make.

A product leader OR in a new/solo role

You're a product leader with strategic responsibility, direct reports, and other business leaders are stakeholders.

OR you're new to a product role or are the only person in a product role at your company.

You could use an objective partner who's been there before to kick around ideas, share observations, or just help you remember that you're not crazy.

Why You'll Love This

There are plenty of good product coaches out there. And ultimately a one-on-one experience depends highly on personal preference.

You'll like us if you prefer a coaching stance that could be described as "A consultant with some coaching tendencies." Also, make sure you think you'd align with our Shared Values.

We also tend to center our coaching around a specific outcome you're hoping to achieve. This is often some type of organizational change, as that is our sweet spot, but it can be anything you and your coach decide.

If that's all a good fit, then let's find time to chat.

Our first two 30-minute sessions are free!

Step 1

Well, it starts with a getting-to-know you conversation. That's 30 minutes, at no cost to you.

We just want to know what you're looking for in a coach and, generally, what you're hoping to get out of coaching. We'll use that to pair you with someone who will get in touch.

Step 2

After our first call, we'll send you a 10 item questionnaire. This will be used by your coach for your introductory call.

The questions help your coach understand a bit about your role, your organization, and your situation as well as your goals and opportunities.

Step 3

Meet with your prospective coach for an introductory call. You'll both go through your responses and set up a coaching plan together.

Also 30 minutes, at no cost to you.

If you're happy with everything and want to move forward, at this point we'll get the details for sending you an invoice for the coaching program.

Step 4

We typically recommend meeting for about an hour once a week for 3 months. Frequency of check-in helps keep things on track, while the duration is key to seeing results.

Of course life happens so each program can be tweaked and will be locally managed between you and your coach.

Oh, also, just because this is one-on-one doesn't mean you can't include others in your meetings. Just let your coach know in advance if you can.
